If Logan was a girl....

When the second child is born one of the first pictures is usually the older child sitting with the younger child placed gently on their lap. Having watched many older sisters they are excited about the new baby and request to hold the new little one. Logan has never requested to hold Kaden, and we have never felt like this would be a good idea so we haven't encouraged it. However, over Christmas, Quinn (just 4 days older then Logan) requested to hold Kaden. She enjoyed it for about as long as it took to snap a few pictures before announcing "baby heavy".

While family gatherings are more than a little busy with the six of them these days, they are also a lot of fun!

Merry Christmas! I hope that you had a wonderful day. We had a great day (or 6) up at my parents with a house full of kids. It was noisy, crazy, fun, and more than I had hoped it would be.

Our big guy is two today! It is hard to believe that it has only been two years since we were surprised by Logan's speedy early arrival. He continues to surprise us and make our lives better every day! We love you Logan!

3 Months....

... and 3 days! It's how I roll these days. A few minutes, hours, or days late! Kaden is growing up fast and is a chubby little man. He loves to smile and laugh and is pretty darn cute (we are totally biased.)

Last Saturday we enjoyed our first KW Santa Claus Parade. Logan loved it and has been fairly obsessed with Santa ever since. Although, I think his favorite float might have been the large inflated hockey player that was part of the Kitchener Rangers float. He has been asking for hockey regularly this week.

A new accessory...

 

...and one Dan would prefer to be without. After years of ultimate, jiu jitsu, volleyball, rugby, soccer, snowboarding, and I am sure a few other sports we have played along the way way one of us has broken a bone. I am glad that it isn't me (as Dan complains a lot less then I would, I am sure) and hope that Dan heals quickly over the next couple of months.

First round of shots complete!

Today I took Kaden for his first round of shots. He didn't particularly like them but took them like a champ. He weighed in at 14.73lbs and 25.5inches. Due to 'Sandy' the superstorm the computers were down at the doctor's office. We couldn't see how he was progressing through the growth chart but we all agreed that he wasn't lacking in size. 

A Roadtrip to Barrie

Today we took the boys on a roadtrip to Barrie to visit our friends Eric & Melissa and Bill & Ang. As we have 5 kids between us and the oldest just turned 2 it was an exciting day! The toddlers had a blast playing together. Ayla is adorable and definitely Bill's daughter. Thanks for hosting Eric and Melissa.

We had some friends tell us that we should just by the double stroller to begin with and it is a good thing we listened! We had the boys a packed in the Chariot a few days ago. It is a smooth ride for all!

  Our little man Kade is two months old today! He is already a big guy at 14.5 lbs and 24.5 inches long.

Today we loved having my parents, brothers, and their families here for Thanksgiving. We are very thankful that we could all be together and that Mom was able to get out of Princess Margaret for the afternoon. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

We enjoyed a beautiful morning at the St. Jacob's market. Logan enjoyed his first horseback ride and we all enjoyed breakfast and apple fritters!

Fun at school!

Down the street from our place we have a school. It is often the destination of our walks as they have a great playground for Logan to climb and explore. This past weekend they hosted a Fall Fun Fair and the train was a huge hit. After many trips around the parking lot Logan finally decided we could get off.
