Big Bully

I know that boys like to be rough and physical... Logan is starting early. We are definitely going to have our hands full with this guy. This is not the first playdate that has left Dexter wondering why his mom keeps putting him beside 'Logan the Bully'.

Prince Logan and his Chariot

As summer (and hopefully Spring too) is just around the corner it is time to get outside and get in shape. This weekend we got a new stroller, jogging stroller, and bike trailer all in one. We have Logan all secured in and now all we have to do is get out and use it.

Mother's Day

Today was a day of many firsts!

1. It was my first Mother's Day. I was looking forward to being taken care of, pampered, and generally just being loved...
2. I awoke throughout the night to realize that Logan was still sleeping. At 6:00 I rolled over and said to Dan "How did you manage that? This is the first time he is waking up". We both sauntered into his room to see that he was indeed still sleeping. It wasn't until 7:00 that he finally decided to wake up.

Then everything changed. It seemed like such a promising start to the day.

3. Logan wasn't really himself this morning and wasn't even interested in food - which is just not normal.
4. Logan vomited (not baby spit up) all over me twice (and then many more times as the day progressed)
5. We called telehealth.
6. We had our first (6 hour) visit to the ER. Which came with many more firsts - most of which made Logan cry. Some which made me cry too. During our stay we were teaching Logan how to hold onto his own vomit bucket (picture).

He is back in bed now. I doubt he will sleep through the night again tonight. I have earned my stripes as a mother today. I am hoping that Logan will recover quickly... and for a better Mother's Day next year.

Jolly Jumper in action

Logan is now 5 months old. It is amazing how quickly he is growing up and how big he is getting. He weighed in the other day at a whopping 18.4 lbs. He is getting better everyday at jumping in his Jolly Jumper! He loves to watch us eat and is ready for real food soon.
